This large Japanese cedar bowl has a unique shape and is a feat for the Magewappa technique! This technique, more than 400 years old, uses high-temperature water vapour to shape wooden slats into the desired shape. Most often the shapes are cylindrical, but this bowl pushes this technique beyond the limits!
This large cedar bowl has been awarded the "Long Life Design" prize by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
It is made with cedar from the Akita region of Japan. This natural material is lightweight, pleasant to the touch, and the design is elegant. This bowl can accommodate your seasonal fruits, a beautiful salad for the summer, or a large dish of pasta in sauce for the family!
